Recycling

Drop off your unwanted phones and printer cartridges at The Scout Hall, Park View, Tylorstown, on a Friday evening between 6-7.30pm or contact John on 01443 423550 or call 08451 302010 for a freepost envelope.  Also, see the Wales on line story for more information.

1st Pontygwaith Scout Group has joined together with Eurosource Europe to bring an innovative recycling programme for young people to participate in.

The programme leads to the Scout Community badge, which is achieved through an improved understanding of the community. Another benefit is that Scout Groups can raise funds through the programme. All we have to do is collect used printer cartridges and old mobile phones, things that many homes and offices throw in the bin.

Millions of cartridges were thrown away last year alone – perhaps you discarded some yourself. 1st Pontygwaith Scout Group could benefit enormously if these cartridges, plus unwanted mobiles, came our way instead. The environment would benefit too, because dumped material cause landfill pollution, and recycling saves raw materials and energy.

We are asking for your support in this scheme. You can support us by registering online at www.scoutsappeal.com or by calling 08451 30 20 10.

Please mention that you would like to help 1st Pontygwaith Scout Group and quote our account number which is:

710762

There is no cost involved in participating, as Eurosource provide free collection boxes which they uplift free of charge.

The Scouts Recycling Appeal programme will raise awareness in young people that recycling makes money and sense. Your support will provide greatly needed resources for our group.

To offer help and assistance to our group, please email webber.john@btinternet.com.

We thank you in advance for your participation and support.
